Hartford HealthCare’s Natchaug Hospital in Enfield, CT seeks a Student Support Paraprofessional for 30 hours/week, part-time. You will provide 1-to-1 IEP-related services under certified staff supervision, monitor student safety, and support learning while promoting positive behavior. Collaboration with teachers, clinicians, and support staff is essential.

Schedule is Monday–Friday; 8:15am–2:15pm, or per student schedule. No benefits. Career growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children and/or adolescents in an educational or clinical setting preferred
• High School diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and procedures
• Effective communication skills

Job Summary

The Student Support Paraprofessional provides 1 to 1, IEP related services, and directly attends to certain specified needs of the student. Working under the supervision of certified staff, the Paraprofessional provides observation and monitoring of assigned students to support learning, ensure safety and prevent injury. Coaches a student towards established goals which increase academic success and decrease behavioral disruptions. Works collaboratively with assigned teachers, clinicians and other support staff.

This position is part-time, 30 hrs/week, no benefits. Schedule: part time, Monday -Friday; 8:15am - 2:15pm, or according to students' schedule. Career growth opportunities available.
