Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools is seeking a part-time student supervision assistant to monitor students during district activities, promote safe behavior, and support student safety.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to pass background checks (WSP/FBI/sexual misconduct as applicable), and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment. This is a 15-hour-per-week, 3-hour daily schedule.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students during District-sponsored activities, programs, transitions and events to promote safe behavior.
• Intervene to support students and document incidents as required.
• Assist with daily operations and communication with staff regarding supervision matters.
• Support check-in/check-out processes for students.
