Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools is seeking a part-time Student Supervision Aide to monitor students during district-sponsored activities, programs, and events to promote safe behavior and an orderly environment. This role supports student safety during arrivals, transitions, and extended learning opportunities.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus background checks and certification in CPR/First Aid (or the ability to obtain within 30 days).

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Fingerprints and background checks required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Observes and monitors student behavior during activities to promote safe behavior and orderly environments.
• Intervenes as needed and reports incidents with guidance from school leadership.
• Provides support in the school environment during activities and checks in/out students as needed.
• Maintains communication with program staff and school personnel regarding daily supervision matters.
