Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools is seeking a part-time Student Monitor to supervise students during district-sponsored activities, promote safe behavior, and help maintain an orderly environment across programs, transitions, lunch periods, and events.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, successful completion of fingerprints and background checks (WSP/FBI and sexual misconduct clearances), and current CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Observe and monitor student behavior during district-sponsored activities, transitions, and events.
• Intervene to support students and report incidents per procedures.
• Assist and supervise students in indoor and outdoor settings; check in/check out as needed.
• Coordinate with program staff and school personnel on daily supervision tasks.
