Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools in Washington state is seeking a part-time, 3-hour-per-day position to monitor students during district-sponsored activities, programs and events, promoting safe behavior and a orderly environment.

The role supports student safety, checks in/out, and communicates with program staff and district departments regarding daily supervision. It is a 10-month position with 195 days of work, starting November 1, 2026, with a $20/hour salary level.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fingerprints and background clearances required (WSP, FBI, sexual misconduct).
• CPR and First Aid certification required or must obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Monitors student behavior during district-sponsored activities, programs, transitions and events to promote safety and appropriate conduct.
• Intervenes and supports students, following procedures and reporting incidents as needed.
• Provides support to program staff and district departments regarding daily supervision.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
