John Deere in Fargo, ND is seeking a Part-Time Student in Manufacturing Engineering to support cost reductions, quality improvements, and line-layout updates. You will help develop automation and vision systems and work with CAD tools in a hands-on engineering environment.

The role targets students pursuing engineering degrees with practical exposure to manufacturing processes and tooling, offering on-site work and a strong learning path. VISA sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of various functions of manufacturing.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• High level of detail and accuracy.
• Must be registered as a full-time student.
• Graduation date December 2027 or later.
• GPA 2.8 or above.
• Must be able to commute to Fargo, ND.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement cost reductions, quality, safety and ergonomic improvements in an electronic controller manufacturing environment.
• Update line layouts in CAD.
• Develop and support Factory Automation programs to control assembly fixtures.
• Develop and support vision systems.
• Work with electronic tools to perform engineering functions.
