Job summary

John Deere in Fargo, ND is seeking a Part-Time Student in Product Engineering to support testing, design and review of our solutions at the Fargo, ND site. You will work closely with engineering teams to maintain design documentation and participate in on-the-job and classroom training, ensuring proper approvals and neat records.

Qualifications

• Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in electrical/computer engineering, mechanical engineering or computer science; others may apply.
• Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university.
• Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
• Available to work 10-20 hours/week during the academic year.
• Available to work 30-40 hours/week during the summer.
• Must be able to commute to the work location in Fargo, ND on a daily basis year-round.
• Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior standing students are preferred, Senior standing and those pursuing Advanced degrees may apply.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with supervisor or other engineering personnel to support product testing, design and review.
• Support the maintenance of documentation for each design in a neat and organized fashion for approval by superior and other engineering personnel.
• Performs other engineering tasks as directed under the supervision of an engineering supervisor or mentor.
• Both on the job and classroom training will be provided
