Duties include maintaining cleanliness, following safety policies, assisting with dishes and inventory, setting up events, and helping with registrations.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in university and pursuing a program or course of study.
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment.
• Undergrad international/student credit hour requirements apply per term.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, tools, and surfaces before, during, and after events with compliance of Oregon Health Authority.
• Follow MUTK and campus policies related to food handling, storage, hygiene, and allergen awareness.
• Assist with dishwashing, inventory checks, and proper disposal of food waste.
• Set up and break down kitchen space for classes, private events, or community meals.
• Help with logistics during programs including managing registration check-in, distributing materials, and supporting guest instructors.
• Provide courteous, informative support to class/event attendees, volunteers and guests while promoting inclusive dialogue around food, culture, and sustainability.
