Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be current degree-seeking student enrolled in at least 6 credits.
• Oregon Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certification within 30 days of employment.
• Familiarity with state health department regulations and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of food products for daily menus following recipes.
• Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, steamers, slicers, fryers, and dish machine.
• Prepare cold pantry items or baked goods and label with date.
• Rotate products with proper dating in coolers and storage areas.
• Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures during shifts.
• Serve meals and assist in stocking, keeping servery clean.
• Wash dishes and reset dishes, glassware, and utensils as needed.
• Assist with receiving freight and counting inventory for daily meals.
• Help in inventory counts as directed.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas to health standards.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors and taking out trash.
