OSU Rec Sports - Sport. Leadership. Wellness. is seeking 7 part-time Memorial Union Teaching Kitchen student assistants for up to 24 hours per week at Oregon State University.

The MUTK Kitchen Assistant 1 role involves helping with culinary operations, educational programming, and event logistics, with a focus on safety, service, and learning in a collaborative environment. Wage is $16.40 per hour. Start date 2026-11-02. Positions support classes, events, and community meals.

Qualificações

• Must be academically enrolled in university and pursuing a program.
• Must meet Academic Standing requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible.
• Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard per term.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and surfaces per Oregon Health Authority.
• Follow MUTK and campus policies on food handling, storage, hygiene, and allergen awareness.
• Assist with dishwashing, inventory checks, and proper disposal of food waste.
• Set up and break down kitchen space for classes, private events, or community meals; assist with registrations and logistics.
• Provide courteous support to attendees and volunteers and promote inclusive dialogue around food, culture, and sustainability.
• Support volunteers in the safe use of larger MUTK equipment.
