Elizabethtown Community and Technical College is seeking a Ready to Work Student & Career Specialist to support students in the Kentucky Ready to Work program. This on-site role helps students enter, persist in, and complete their educational and employment goals, serving as the primary contact for recruitment, orientation, advising, career coaching, and retention.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in education, counseling, student affairs, career services, social services, business, or a related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and engage eligible students for the Ready to Work program.
• Conduct orientations for new Ready to Work students.
• Provide regular academic and program advising to Ready to Work participants.
• Provide individualized career coaching and resume development.
• Connect students with campus resources and services (financial aid, tutoring, counseling).
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
• Collaborate with the Ready to Work Coordinator and staff to support program goals.
• Assist with program reports and administrative duties.
