Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Durham, NC. You will assist with daily store functions, merchandise flow, and training of associates while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment.

You will work part-time, collaborate with leadership, and help ensure promotional displays and policies are followed, contributing to a positive, efficient store experience for customers and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and payroll/scheduling records.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with customers and associates.
