Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, customer service, and team development in Durham, NC. You will support the Store Manager in daily activities and supervise store associates to maintain standards and service levels.

Responsibilities include organizing merchandise, processing payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Lifts up to 55 lbs and frequent walking/standing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Provide friendly customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas.
• Support Store Manager in training and development.
