Dollar Tree Stores in Durham, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandise flow, opening/closing duties, and enforcing company policies to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

The role requires strong communication skills, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and work in a fast-paced, high-energy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsabilités

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follows procedures.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked bathrooms, floors swept/mopped, trash removed, and areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
