Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help manage opening and closing procedures and ensure store standards are met.

In this role you will assist with merchandising, loss prevention, scheduling, and training of associates while maintaining a clean, safe, and friendly shopping environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational abilities.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain displays and promotional fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, stocked store areas and secure assets.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain bathroom cleanliness and overall store cleanliness.
• Other duties as assigned.
