Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help supervise daily activities and train Store Associates to maintain high standards.

In this role, you will contribute to a safe, friendly shopping environment, assist with merchandising, scheduling, and loss prevention, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform extensive walking, standing, kneeling, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays; ensure promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
