Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in San Rafael seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train Store Associates to maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

You will follow corporate directives, manage displays and inventories, and ensure safe, compliant operations while delivering exceptional service to customers and protecting assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Organize merchandise and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional materials.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and cash handling.
• Keep stockroom and sales floor well organized and stocked.
• Ensure store assets and cash are secure and policies followed.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
