Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in San Pablo, CA to help run daily store operations, assist customers, and develop a high-performing team.

You will support opening/closing procedures, merchandise organization, loss prevention, and staff coaching while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues. This role emphasizes frontline leadership and hands-on store management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives and related communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned
