Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment in Rockville, MD. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure store areas meet company standards.

You will help supervise and train Store Associates, maintain cleanliness, uphold safety policies, and handle opening/closing procedures while driving promotional displays and efficiency across

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions or concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, registers, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized according to standards.
• Protect store assets including cash and security.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
