Job summary

Dollar Tree in Owings Mills, MD is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with opening and closing, merchandise handling, and maintaining a clean, organized sales floor.

The role emphasizes strong communication, hands-on leadership, and adherence to store policies while fostering a safe, friendly environment for customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional displays and store front fixtures
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Keep the store clean and orderly, including restrooms, floors, trash and general presentation
• Other duties as assigned
