Job summary

Dollar Tree in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise from delivery to floor, and perform opening/closing procedures.

You will also support payroll and scheduling, maintain a well-stocked floor and stockroom, protect assets, enforce safety policies, and assist in training Store Associates while fostering a positive, safe

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret operational directives and merchandise schematics.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash, and keep areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
