Job summary

Family Dollar in Lordsburg, NM is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily tasks, help customers, and ensure merchandise moves smoothly from delivery to sale floors.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and leadership to train and supervise Store Associates while maintaining a safe, welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and handling damaged merchandise.
• Maintain clean, stocked and organized store areas.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
