Job summary

Family Dollar in Hinesville, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will supervise, train, and motivate Store Associates, ensure a clean, well-stocked store, and uphold company policies while delivering friendly, efficient service.

The role is part-time, with responsibilities spanning opening/closing, merchandising, scheduling, and loss prevention, offering hands-on leadership in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and follow directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain store areas and promotional displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and handling payroll and scheduling.
• Ensure a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
