Job summary

Family Dollar in Blackshear, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and help lead a high-energy team to meet sales goals.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and strong communication skills. This is a part-time position with training and growth opportunities in a friendly environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll/scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
