Job summary

Family Dollar seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Atlanta location. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and maintain merchandise flow from delivery to floor while ensuring seasonal areas are well kept.

The role includes opening/closing procedures, adherence to corporate directives, and maintaining displays. You will support payroll and scheduling, protect store assets, enforce policies, and help

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking/standing
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Provide excellent customer service and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional displays and storefront fixtures
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling
• Keep sales floor and stockroom well-stocked and organized
• Protect company assets and cash
• Follow safety policies and procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Keep store clean including restrooms, floors, and trash removal
• Other duties as assigned
