Job summary

Dollar Tree in Littleton, CO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and ensure store standards are met.

The role focuses on merchandising, payroll and scheduling, training Store Associates, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff. This position may require lifting up to 55 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor, maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effective merchandising.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling and cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure adherence to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates and leaders.
• Keep store clean, restocked bathrooms, floors swept/mopped, trash removed, and areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
