Job summary

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as described
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits
• Keep the sales floor and stockroom well-organized
• Protect and secure all store assets including cash
• Enforce safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing store associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment
• Maintain cleanliness including bathrooms and floors
