Job summary

Dollar Tree in Lakewood, CO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help manage merchandise, and ensure a clean, welcoming store environment for customers and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and proven ability to lead a team, communicate clearly, and handle payroll and scheduling duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical activities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restock bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
