Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Mexia, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, improve customer service, and develop team members. You will assist with opening/closing, supervise associates, and help maintain merchandise and displays.

This role requires a high school diploma and prior retail or grocery management experience. You will handle payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention tasks while ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities and maintain records.
