Job summary

Foot Locker in Milford, CT is seeking a part-time Sales Lead to support the Store Manager by driving sales, coaching the team, and keeping the store running smoothly. The role requires 1+ years in retail leadership, strong communication, and flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will lead on the floor, serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled, and collaborate on customer experience, operations, and execution to meet goals.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key holding role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy and solutions in every customer interaction.
• Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping the team close the loop with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Move with purpose by keeping the store organized, customer ready, and running smoothly.
• Follow all safety, loss prevention, and SOPs to protect customers, teammates, and product.
• Take an owner/operator mindset by addressing issues, maintaining standards, and taking ownership of store execution.
• Leverage retail technology and digital tools to enhance the customer experience and support efficient operations.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled, providing confident leadership and direction.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of store associates.
• Coach teammates in real time, recognizing wins and closing performance gaps.
• Jump in wherever needed to support the team and store priorities.
