Job summary

Hot Topic, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 2 to lead the loudest store in the mall and support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and development goals.

You will recruit, coach, and empower a collaborative team, drive promotional activity including BOPIS and curbside options, and maintain an operational focus on loss prevention, scheduling, and reporting to guide strategy.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail store management experience.
• Experience leading teams and developing staff.
• Strong communication, recruiting, operations, and staff development skills.
• High school diploma or GED (degree helpful).
• Resilient in a fast-changing retail environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and merchandise product.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager in achieving the sales plan and store goals.
• Help recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative team.
• Promote new products and customer engagement through promotions and social media.
• Provide leadership for an operationally sound store and customer-first selling.
• Monitor shrink, payroll hours, and associate scheduling.
• Communicate with retail leadership and HQ on trends and feedback.
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy to hit targets.
• Merchandise the store using planograms and launch promos on time.
• Develop a team of loyal, high-performing associates.
