Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Huber Heights, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise flows, and help ensure a clean, well-stocked and welcoming store environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior store management experience in retail or similar, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; able to read and understand directives.
• Retail store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, and climbing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, stocked store areas to company standards.
• Protect assets, including store cash, and adhere to safety policies.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
