Job summary

Dollar Tree in Ohio is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise and ensure displays remain inviting.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, processing directives, maintaining stockrooms, loss prevention and ensuring store standards. You will help supervise and train Store Associates while fostering a positive, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a neat, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom per company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; manage bathrooms and floors.
