Job summary

Dollar Tree in West Point, MS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise moves smoothly from delivery to sales floor while keeping seasonal areas organized.

You will lead by example with strong communication, teamwork, and a focus on safety and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Maintain merchandise flow from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and keep seasonal areas tidy
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized in line with company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; lead by example with associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and waste removal.
