Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Ocean Springs, MS to support store operations, customer service and team development. Duties include opening/closing, merchandising, payroll and scheduling record keeping, loss prevention, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash handling), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean and organized store areas and protect company assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
