Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, oversee merchandising, assist with payroll and scheduling, and ensure compliance with store policies.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and a hands-on approach to maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment in Mobile, AL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform various physical tasks.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store functions and activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain organized store areas and secure assets including cash.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention efforts.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates; ensure a safe, respectful environment.
