Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. Responsibilities include operating registers or machinery, stocking shelves, maintaining store appearance, and serving customers. Each day offers new challenges and opportunities.

Position Type: Part-Time

Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week

Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour

Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.00 | Year 3 - $18.50 | Year 5 - $19.50

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to supervisors
• Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data
• Perform other duties as assigned

Cashier Responsibilities

• Process customer purchases, perform cleaning, stock shelves, and maintain displays
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies to prevent losses

Stocker Responsibilities

• Stock shelves, rotate products, and follow merchandising plans
• Organize inventory and handle packaging materials
• Operate machinery safely and follow safety procedures

Physical Demands

• Require sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and walking
• Stockers must lift up to 45 pounds and operate equipment

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older
• Provide prompt and courteous service
• Perform cleaning duties to standards
• Interpret company policies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Effective time management
• Knowledge of company products/services
• Cashiers must operate registers accurately and comply with alcohol sale regulations
• Stockers must operate equipment safely, including jacks and balers
• Availability for early morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
