Job description

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience as a team member in roles such as Cashier or Stocker. Responsibilities include operating registers or machinery, stocking shelves, maintaining store appearance, and assisting customers. Enjoy a dynamic work environment with daily new experiences.

Position Details:

• Type: Part-Time
• Hours: Less than 30 per week
• Starting Wage: $17.50/hour
• Wage Progression: Year 2 - $18.00, Year 3 - $18.50, Year 5 - $19.50

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cash registers and machinery with or without accommodations
• Stock shelves and merchandise displays neatly
• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers
• Communicate relevant information with team members and management
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock accuracy
• Follow security, confidentiality, and cash handling procedures

Stocker Specific Duties:

• Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness
• Follow merchandising planograms for displays
• Organize inventory and operate equipment safely

Physical Demands:

• Stand, sit, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk regularly
• Stockers must lift up to 45 pounds and handle inventory from receiving to shelving

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 or older
• Ability to provide prompt, courteous service and perform cleaning duties
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Good time management and product knowledge
• Cashier: proficiency in operating cash registers; compliance with alcohol sales laws
• Stocker: safe operation of equipment, morning availability for shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred but not required
