Job summary

South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity’s Store Associate role focuses on delivering a positive customer and donor experience while handling sales and pricing tasks. You will work with volunteers and staff to maintain a clean, organized sales floor and assist customers with purchases and inquiries.

The position involves operating a POS system, pricing donated merchandise, and engaging volunteers in daily activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail/ customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to accurately and safely operate store equipment such as computers, pallet jacks, etc.
• Strong relationship building skills with an ability work constructively with a variety of people.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors entering the area, ensuring they receive outstanding service by providing a friendly environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organized.
• Receive payment by cash, credit cards, or automatic debits.
• Assist in pricing and staging donated merchandise.
• Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with volunteers in the store.
