Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, assist customers, and coach team members at the Kernersville location. You’ll support opening/closing, merchandising, and loss prevention while upholding company standards.

In this role you’ll train and supervise store associates, ensure a safe, friendly environment, and collaborate with leadership to achieve sales goals. Part-time flexibility may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform repetitive motion and walking.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
