Job summary

MacKenzie-Childs in New York, NY is seeking a Stock Associate to organize merchandise in the stock room and support storefront operations. You will receive deliveries, inspect items, tag products, and enter items into NetSuite while maintaining orderly stock areas and assisting with floor replenishment.

The role requires basic computer skills, attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Weekend days may be required to meet store needs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Printing price tags or labels and applying them to merchandise.

• Maintaining the stock room clean and organized.
• Replenishing the sales floor and assisting with floor moves.
• Returning products to appropriate locations.
• Packing and shipping products to customers using UPS WorldShip.
• Fulfilling orders using NetSuite.

Job Details: Job Location: New York Shop - New York, NY 10012, Salary Range: $19.00 - $19.00 Hourly, Job Category: Retail, Position Summary:

A stock associate organizes the merchandise in a retail stock room. Job duties include receiving and unpacking deliveries, inspecting items for damage, tagging items, and entering products into inventory, organizing stockroom shelves, and placing merchandise on the sales floor.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receiving weekly truck deliveries and unpacking merchandise
• Inspecting items for damages (Transferring 2nd quality product to returns dept)
• Printing price tags or labels and applying them to merchandise
• Entering items into inventory using RF scan guns and NetSuite
• Maintaining the stock room clean and organized
• Replenishing the salesfloor and assisting with floor moves
• Returning products left around the store to their appropriate locations
• Packing and shipping product to customers using UPS WorldShip
• Fulfilling orders using NetSuite
• Disposing of empty boxes, packaging, pallets and trash.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED

Special Requirements:

• Occasional weekend work as required to meet business needs.
• Computer skills to operate inventory control software (NetSuite)
• Memorization skills to learn the store layout and remember where various items go.
• Knowledge of health and safety policies to help avoid injuries.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, crouch, kneel, bend, climb, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.
• Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
• Light mental and visual attention is required for performing work where there is some variety, but actions taken, and decisions made are limited to few possibilities. Work requires some coordination with others.

Environmental Conditions:

Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to temperature changes and noise.
