Job summary

Lynch van Otterloo YMCA in Marblehead, MA is seeking a Part-Time Squash Instructor to lead lessons, clinics, and beginner instruction for youth and adults. The role reports to the Sports Director and supports community programs.

Ideal candidates are passionate about squash, enjoy working with youth, and are eager to grow through training and team support. This is a part-time on-site position with access to YMCA membership and professional development.

Qualifications

• Passion for squash and youth development.
• Experience playing squash and/or coaching preferred.
• Enjoy working with children and beginners.
• Positive, energetic, team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead squash lessons, clinics, and beginner instruction for youth and adults.
• Create a welcoming, positive, and engaging environment for all skill levels.
• Help players build confidence, sportsmanship, and foundational squash skills.
• Support youth squash sessions and recreational activities.
• Encourage participation and foster long-term interest in the sport.
• Assist with squash events, leagues, round robins, and community programming.
• Build strong relationships with participants, families, and YMCA members.
• Support a culture aligned with the YMCA’s mission and values.
