About the Role

Lakeshore Sport & Fitness – Lakeshore - Illinois Center (211 N. Stetson Avenue, Chicago, IL) is seeking a Squash Instructor to teach private and group lessons at our premier club featuring five squash courts, a strong and growing junior program, and an active membership.

Responsibilities

• Instruct members and guests using a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Teach techniques to improve skill level and maximize health from exercise routines during lessons.
• Deliver assigned classes and lessons on a timely basis.
• Respond to member/guest inquiries quickly and professionally.
• Provide excellent customer service with ongoing observation and interpersonal feedback of corrective measures during class participation.
• Assist the Head Professional with squash programming; additional hours available based on program participation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience teaching squash; prior experience in college or corporate settings a plus.
• Current nationally recognized squash certification is suggested but not mandatory.
• Ability to work daytime, evenings, weekends and up to 25 hours a week.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk and reach during lessons.
• Comfortable working with all age groups and building positive relationships with members.
• Friendly, outgoing, energetic, positive attitude.
• Exceptional organizational skills, time management, and communication.
• Must be able to work in the United States and live within 25 miles of Chicago.

Hours & Compensation

Part‑time to full‑time hours available. Compensation is commission‑based on lessons taught and commensurate with experience level.
