Job summary

The Educational Assistant II supports instructional delivery under a Teacher's guidance in the Central Point School District 6. You will reinforce instruction, lead small groups, and monitor student progress as part of a collaborative elementary or middle school setting.

Working approximately 181 days per year, this part-time role offers benefits aligned with district schedules, including paid holidays and leave provisions, with opportunities to contribute to individualized student plans.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associates degree or two years of post-high school study.
• Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Knowledge of English language arts and mathematics is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing classroom learning exercises planned by the Teacher.
• Oversee group activity and supervise the class for short periods.
• Assist small groups or individuals with skill reinforcement or lesson assignments.
• Present teacher-designed material using various methods including lectures, discussions, and guided practice.
• Coordinate daily activities and instruction as directed.
• Assist in proctoring student assessments and maintaining records (attendance, progress, grades, IEP/PEP).
• Assist with ordering, preparing and administering instructional materials.
