Job summary

Central Point School District 6 seeks an Educational Assistant II to support instructional delivery at Sams Valley Elementary. This part-time role (5.75 hours/day) supports teachers by implementing activities, supervising students, and reinforcing instruction.

The position reports to the Principal/Assistant Principal and requires a minimum of an Associates degree or two years of post-high school study, plus a high school diploma and ability to pass a background check. Calendar: 184 days.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associates degree or two years post-high school study or passing district assessment.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• General knowledge of English language arts and mathematics.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing classroom activities designed by the Teacher.
• Supervise groups and individuals during instruction and activities.
• Maintain student records and assist in IEP/PEP documentation.
• Assist with ordering, preparing and distributing instructional materials.
• Support behavior management and safety in classrooms.
