Central Point School District 6 is seeking an Educational Assistant III (Part-Time) to support special education and behavior needs in district classrooms. The role emphasizes hands-on guidance, life skills, and individualized student support under supervision of teachers and building leadership.

Qualifications

• Must possess a general knowledge of English language arts and mathematics.
• Must complete student restraint training within 30 days of hire.
• Must be willing and able to participate in training and receive additional certification (e.g. CPI, First Aid, epipen, etc.).
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assists in implementing classroom learning exercises planned by the Teacher.
• Works directly with special needs students to provide transition programs and life-skills practice.
• Assists in the nutritional, health and communications needs of special needs students.
• Assists with the physical management of special needs students, including lifting and restraining.
• Assists with IEP meetings and data tracking.
