Job summary

Autumn Lake at Braddock Heights in Frederick, MD is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide individualized therapy for residents, addressing speech, language, cognition, and swallowing needs within a collaborative rehabilitation team.

You will evaluate residents, develop and monitor treatment plans, document progress, and educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication and safe swallowing strategies.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and resident goals.
• Provide skilled therapy addressing communication, cognition, and dysphagia.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment approaches as appropriate.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication and safe swallowing strategies.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
