Job summary

Autumn Lake at Braddock Heights in Frederick, MD is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a part-time opportunity. The role focuses on individualized therapy to improve residents' communication, cognition, and swallowing abilities.

The SLP will evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, provide therapy, monitor progress, educate families, document care, and collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation staff.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and resident goals.
• Provide skilled therapy addressing communication, cognition, and dysphagia.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment approaches as appropriate.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication and safe swallowing strategies.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
