Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan seeks a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive services across inpatient rehabilitation and acute care settings. In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders, aligning goals with patient needs.

You'll maintain ASHA certification and state licensure while offering education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology accredited by ASHA.
• State of Michigan SLP license or eligible for licensure prior to hire date.
• CCC in Speech-Language Pathology or provisionally accepted during CF.
• American Heart Association BLS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose functional abilities/disabilities in areas of speech, language, voice, cognition, feeding and swallowing, fluency, resonance, and auditory rehabilitation.
• Establish patient-centered treatment goals with patient, family, and care team; develop and administer treatment plans.
• Document evaluation and treatment in compliance with department standards and ethics.
• Provide education to patient and family about results, care plan, and home exercises.
• Deliver culturally responsive care and arrange language interpretation as needed.
