Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia Hospital is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat speech, language, swallowing and cognitive-communication disorders. The role emphasizes individualized treatment plans and patient-family counseling to improve communication and swallowing functions.

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and possess state licensure in Michigan or be eligible to obtain it. ASHA CCC is preferred, with CFY pathway acceptable.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• State license to practice as Speech-Language Pathologist in Michigan or eligibility to obtain.
• ASHA CCC preferred or during CFY with eventual CCV/CCC attainment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates speech, language, swallowing and cognitive-communication disorders.
• Designs and implements individual treatment plans.
• Counsels patients and families on communication and swallowing issues.
• Documents test data and progress of therapy.
• Refs to appropriate health, educational and vocational resources.
• Collaborates with medical staff and participates in team conferences.
